What Is Castor Oil?

Because of its density, castor oil is usually used as a hair treatment:

• Ends treatment: work a few drops into dry ends
• Intensive treatment: mix with a lighter oil such as sweet almond oil, spread over lengths and ends, leave for 30–60 minutes and wash out thoroughly
• Scalp: gently massage in a small amount with your fingertips
